NathaResika_croppedLyric Bass Nathan Resika made his Connecticut Lyric Opera debut as Ill Commendatore in Don Giovanni in 2006 and is delighted to return as Leporello in this years production.

2012 brought Nathan great artistic success as he was able to perform the role of Don Giovanni with palisades opera and, the very next day, perform the role of Leporello with Capitol Heights Lyric Opera.

One of the highlights of Nathan’s 2011 was covering
the Grand Inquisitor in Meyerbeer’s L’Africaine with Opera Orchestra of NY,  where he sang solos with superstar tenor Marcello Giordani.

Among Nathan’s recent roles are: Commendatore and Leporello in two seperate casts of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at OperaNorth, Don Giovanni  with New York Lyric Opera, Constable and Die Sanger in the World premiere of J.D. McClatchy and Michael Dellaira’s “the Secret Agent” with the Center for contemporary Opera, Bass soloist in Beethoven’s 9th with the New Britain Symphony,The Title Role in Opera in the Heights’ Marriage of Figaro, the Marchese di HCalatrava in La Forza del Destino at Caramoor, and Don Alfonso in Cosi Fan Tutte with Underworld Productions at Symphony Space, Nathan is also a world class chess master/teacher and has been ranked in the top 150 players in the USA. He is the proud father of five year old twins Flora and Fabian.
