Bass-baritone David Kennedy is an engineer with a love of singing who made his CLO debut earlier in the 2014-2015 as the police inspector in Der Rosenkavalier. He has appeared as soloist for many choral groups and churches throughout Connecticut, and has been a member and soloist with CONCORA since 1990. Mr. Kennedy has performed leading roles in 27 musical theater productions, eight of them light operas by Gilbert and Sullivan. Grand opera roles include Germont in La Traviata and Monterone in Rigoletto with the Greater New Britain Opera. He has sung supporting roles with Connecticut Opera, Connecticut Concert Opera, Philadelphia Opera Society, and the Bard Festival, where he sang the role of Lore in Tchaikovsky’s Maid of Orleans. Mr. Kennedy twice toured England and Ireland with the Savoy Company of Philadelphia.
