History

Now in our eighth season, Connecticut Lyric Opera is the only full-season opera company in Southeastern CT. From the standards such as La Boheme, Carmen and Le Nozze di Figaro, to lesser performed but no less wonderful operas like Eugene Onegin, Faust and Susannah, CLO’s Artistic and General Director, Adrian Sylveen Mackiewicz creates “moments of opera magic” with every new production. Other performances include a piano accompanied Susannah by Carlisle Floyd in July 2007, and two years of Chamber Music Mystic festival – the first year (Aug. 2006) as the presenting organization, the next (Aug. 2007) jointly with Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, who is now the sole presenter.
