Mezzo-soprano Allison Lindsay grew up in Middletown, CT. She recently completed her Master’s Degree in Voice Performance at The Boston Conservatory, where she studied voice with Sara Goldstein, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Hofstra University under the vocal tutelage of Tammy Hensrud. She has also trained at the following young artist programs: New York Opera Studio, Westchester Summer Vocal Institute, and the Baroque Opera Workshop at Queens College.
Ms. Lindsay has appeared in multiple engagements on the concert and opera stage. Past concerts include solo performances with the Boston Conservatory Baroque Ensemble, Hofstra University’s Collegium Musicum, String Orchestra and New Music Ensemble, the Binghamton Baroque Ensemble, and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. She also performed as the mezzo soloist in the Bruckner Requiem with the Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra as a winner of their 6th Annual Collegiate Vocal Competition. Some of her past operatic credits include Second Noble Orphan in Connecticut Lyric Opera’s recent production of Der Rosenkavalier, Sally in A Hand of Bridge and Lapák in The Cunning Little Vixen at Boston Conservatory, and Ruggiero in Alcina at Hofstra University. Ms. Lindsay also recently helped to organize and appeared as a soloist in a benefit concert for the Middletown High School Music Department in support of the Middletown High Goes to the Symphony program.
