Soprano Katia Riccarelli will be joining the 2019 edition of the Greve Opera Academy.
AUDITIONS UPDATE:
Auditions will be held on March 18th in New York City.
Greve Opera Academy & Music Festival is for young opera singers who seek the opportunity to perform leading roles in fully staged opera productions with professional orchestra. We focus on providing artistic excellence combined with the practical professional experience. The 2019 Edition of the festival will feature productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica & Gianni Schicchi as well as other concerts and recitals. Opera performances and concerts will take place in Greve-in-Chianti and in Florence.
Recent students have come from the US, Italy, Canada, China, Austria, Poland, Cypress and Australia. Many have gone on to perform with Connecticut Lyric Opera and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra back in the US in main-stage productions/performances. In addition to the career-building instruction, role preparation and invaluable performance opportunities, life-long friendships have been forged in the idyllic Tuscan surroundings.015/16.
